It's Monday Here's What I've Been Reading

Monday, December 27, 2010
It's Monday What Are You Reading is a wonderful weekly meme hosted by Shelia  at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, and asks the question: What are you reading?

Well, Christmas has come and gone and as I head into the last week of the year, hope to get a lot more reading done this week than I did last. I plan on participating in a New Years readathon, since I cannot think of a better way to bring in the New Year than that. While last week was still a bit slow what with last minute Christmas shopping and wrapping, visiting my grandchildren, and my father I still managed to finish a couple of books and reviews.

Books Read:

Tempestuous by Lesley Livingston

I love this series and when I got this in the mail this week, I couldn't help but pick it up to find out what happened next. I was not disappointed. Fantastic series!

Trapped by Michael Northrup

This was a very quick read, well written, and the perfect read on a snowy afternoon. Makes me glad I do not live in New England where a nor'easter could actually occur.

Reviews Posted:

Nightspell by Leah Cypess

Mercy by  Rebecca Lim

Currently Reading/Listening to:

Beatle Meets Destiny by Gabrielle Williams (only just started it but am already in love with the characters)

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly (oh my this is an amazing story and may end up as one of my favorite reads this year!)

I  also posted all the challenges (so far) that I plan on participating in for 2011.

Finally, while my 21 Day Blogoversary & Birthday Bash ended last week and I have been announcing winners daily, there are still eight more days before the remaining eight books are given away, which means there is still time to enter those giveaways.

So what are you reading?

Tempestuous has such a lovely cover, and so does Trapped (lovely in a scary way!).

Hope you enjoy your reading. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I think I'll check out that Readathon. I just found out I don't have to babysit on New Year's Eve!

I'm glad to see you liked Trapped, Jan! I reviewed it today on my site and, unfortunately, really didn't connect with the story. To each his own though, right? :)

I read Wondrous Strange but haven't gotten my hands on the others. One of those series I didn't care so much about or something.
I keep hearing that Revolution is amazing! It makes me want it BAD!
I've also heard good things about Trapped.
Some great books!

I loved Wondrous Strange and I can't wait to read Tempestuous, but I still have to read Darklight! I've also heard a lot of wonderful things about Revolution, and a lot of people have been nominating it as one of the best reads of 2010 in my Readers' Choice Awards. It's definitely at the top of my TBR list now!

You are so far ahead of me on the reading challenges! I've been trying to decide which ones to join for weeks now and I'm so indecisive it's just ridiculous. Hopefully I'll pin it down in the the next day or two. LOL

So glad you had a happy holiday! Thank you so much for all the well wishes and comments. It really means a lot to me.

Have a fabulous reading week and I'll see you around! :o)
