Terrific Trailer Thursday

Terrific Trailer Thursday is a (semi) weekly event similar to Waiting on Wednesday only with books and movie trailers.

This first trailer is for Deborah Kerbel's new novel Lure due out next month. The trailer only gives a bit about the book, but the atmosphere is certainly ominous.

This next trailer I ran across definitely caught my attention because of music and the montage, which I love. It's for a book titled Autochromatic by Emilia Plater, a 17 year-old author whose blog, Punk Writer Kid I also stumbled across as I searched for more information about the book. The book to date does not have a release date, but here's hoping it will soon!

Scarlett Dedd by Cathy Brett was released this month and I love this trailer, definitely want to read the book.

Finally, I want to celebrate one of our own, whose recently released her first book (in Australia and New Zealand but unfortunately won't be out in America until next summer) Girl Saves Boy by Stephanie Bowe. If you are not familiar with Stephanie's blog Steph Su Reads then trust me you are missing the best of the best and should head over NOW!

While checking out everyone's WoW's yesterday I came across this trailer at Escape in A Book for Banish. It is as awesome as the summary of the book and it is a debut novel by due out next month.

This next trailer is for  The Unidentified by Rae Mariz a book I highlighted on one of my Wow's and am anxious to read. It is due for release next month.

Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie was  released earlier this month. I have not seen much about this book, but I really liked the trailer.

Next up is Overprotected by Jennifer Laurens due out this Feburary. I love the song, not too crazy about the actors they seem a little old for YA.

Finally thought I would leave you with a funny clip from the new movie You Again, which has an amazing cast including the infamous Betty White.

This week I collected trailers of August releases for your viewing pleasure. All of these are out or will be released next week. Enjoy!

Delacroix Academy:The Candidate by Inera Scott

Dead is Just a Rumor by Marlene Perez

Infinite Day by Rebecca Maizel

You by Charles Benoit

Black Hole Sun by David Macinnes Gill

Time Riders: Day of the Predators by Alex Scarrow

I think my favorite is Time Riders and while I have not read any of this series, I am definitely going to check them out. I am also quite interested in Black Hole Sun as it looks very intriguing.

Any of these pique your interest?

Terrific Trailer Thursday

Terrific Trailer Thursday is a (semi) weekly event similar to Waiting on Wednesday only with books and movie trailers.

This  first video is for the book Secrets of Eden by Leslie DuBois. I could not find anything additional information about the book, but based on the video I am quite interested in this book. It is due out this fall.

This next video grabbed me despite the fact that there is no music with it. The book Lunamorte by Samantha Young looks like my kind of book. The trouble is according to the author's website the book was released in July 30, but Amazon shows it as out of print.  I did find ordering information at Waterstones in the UK.

Next up is Firelight by Sophie Jordon which is due out in September. I have been watching this book make its appearance on Waiting on Wednesdays for quite some time and have it on pre-order. Once again my fascination for dragons has me salivating for this one.

Finally this next video is a fan based one for The Chronicles of Vladamir Tod a series by Heather Brewer. Her next book, Twelfth Grade Kills  is due out in September. I am a fan of this series and have been lucky enough to actually hang out with Auntie Heather on a couple of occasions during the Area-Wide Book Battle that I  co-founded and that my school hosts annually. Brewer graduated from the district I work for and always donates her time to come and sign books for the students who are participating in the book battle. Very cool art work! Love the music in this one too! If you have not read this series check out my review on the first three books and for Eleventh Grade Burns.

Hope I was able to whet your interest in some of these books. Let me know what you think.

Terrific Trailer Thursdy

Terrific Trailer Thursday is a weekly event similar to Waiting on Wednesday only with books and movie trailers.

Tell Me a Secret by Holly Cupala while the book was released in June I am in love with this trailer and just had to include it.

The Thirteenth Chime by  Emma Michaels has definitely been making the rounds as a highly anticipated book so thought I'd add this one.

And one of the most anticipated new release all year Mockingjay by Susanne Collins. I think I have had this on pre-order like forever.

Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin is already being made into a movie and the books release date is September. I just don't think it is fair that Hollywood has it before I do!

Finally, I Am Number Four by Pitttacus Lore released this week.

So any of these pique your reading interests? Tell me what you think.

Terrific Trailers Thursday

Terrific Trailer Thursday is a weekly event similar to Waiting on Wednesday only with book and movie trailers.

This week it is all about books some published some not yet released.

I just finished A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn author of Beastly and found this trailer, which I thought captured the story pretty well

Next up is from Angelfire by Courtney Moulton. I saw a lot of interest in this book while checking out everyone's Waiting on Wednesday picks. Check out Moulton's website she has a giveaway of an ARC copy of her book on her blog

Next week I am planning on attending an author event at the local library where Ally Carter will be appearing. So I thought I would share a trailer for her book Only the Good Spy Young.

I found Saltwater Vampires by Christy Eagar on Penguin's Publishing site, but could find little else to go with it. The trailer for the book has my psyched though.

This last trailer is for a new book Kings and Queens by Courtney Vail. I do not have a release date, but it is definitely one to keep your eye on. Check out Vail's blog.

That's it for this weeks Terrific Trailers Thursday. Let me know which one is you think is terrific.

Terrific Trailers Thursday

Terrific Trailer Thursday is a weekly event similar to Waiting on Wednesday only with book and movie trailers, with some funny thrown in for good measure.

The first trailer is for Time Riders byAlex Scarrow  to be released on August 31 even though the trailer says it was release this Spring.

This next one is a bit puzzling as I haven't been able to locate Hex, A Witch & Angel Tale by Romona Wray on Amazon, GoodReads, or Powells. I did find Wray's website but also drew a blank, but I thought the trailer was interesting and if anyone has any information about where I can get a copy let me know.

AngelFire by Courney Allison Moulton really looks amazing and is due out in February.

OK, I admit I am a sucker for a sad love story and this movie trailer  definitely makes me wanna cry.

And finally,  here is one to leave you with a smile.

Terrific Trailers Thursday

Ever since I saw my first book trailer I have been fascinated by them. I am even planning on using this media next year as a way to have my students review books. Hopefully I will be able to post some of their trailers once the school year gets going.

Since these are amazing ways to interest readers in a book, I am going to start posting trailers I have found every Thursday. My first one is this week is for the book Poison Diaries by Mayrose Wood which is to be released this month, and I can't wait to read it.

Next up is Dark Divine by Bree Despain, who by the way is having a fab giveaway so go check it out.

Beastly by Alex Flinn is an urban retelling of Beauty and the Beast and has been made into a movie. I love this book and  the trailer and had to add this to my Terrific Trailer Thursday.

Another terrific movie trailer from a book is this one from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows man does this look like the best Harry Potter movie yet or what?

Finally, as I wait impatiently for Maria Snyder's third book in her Glass studies, Spy Glass, which will be out this September, I found a beautiful trailer of Storm Glass the first book in this triology and decided to include it.

So have you found any terrific trailers? Love to see them!
