It's Monday Here's What I've Been Reading

Sunday, April 25, 2010
This Monday Meme is sponsored by  Shelia at One Persons Journey Through a World of Books. Its a chance to post about what you been reding and what you plan to read. It is also a great way to network with other bloggers, which why I enjoy Mondays a lot more than I use to.

Last week I finished: ( reviews to be written)

The Summer of Skinny Dipping by Amanda Howells
The Turning by Helen Ellis
The Knife That Killed Me by Anthony McGowan

I am currently listening to the full cast audio of  Graceling by Kristin Cashore, and have begun Storm Glass by Maria V. Snyder

Finally, I wrote a review of Gringolandia by Lyn Miller-Lachmann which I hope you will take time to read, as I believe this to be a luminous novel that not only young adult readers should read but anyone who loves contemporary historical fiction.

Ohhh - I'm reading Graceling right now! It's awesome. It took me a little while to get into, but now I can't put it down. Katsa is a kick-butt heroine!

I need to spend some time with some Y.A. books soon so that I can make recommendations to students. Have a great week. I will be dropping in to check out your thoughts on these books. They sound great.

Ooooh, that audio for Graceling does sound interesting. I don't listen to books on tape, typically, but I do love the idea of a full cast audio!

Have a great week :)

Oh, I just got The Summer of Skinny Dipping to review for my other site I contribute to. I can't wait to see what you think (although, I might wait until after I write my own review.)!

I've heard fantastic things about Gringolandia and I really need to pick up a copy! Thanks for the reminder!

Hope you have a fabulous reading week!

I really loved Graceling and the idea of a full cast audio recording sounds really cool. Also when you finish Storm Glass you should head over to Maria Snyder's website, she has a neat give away where you get a signed book plate if you can answer a bunch of questions about her book correctly.
