It's Monday Here's What I've Been Reading

Monday, April 5, 2010

It's Monday What Are You  Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Shelia at One Person's Journey Through Books.

Read this week:
Gringolandia by Lyn Miller - Lachmann
The Folk Keeper by Fanny Billingsley
The Dwarves by Markus Heitz

Reviewed:
The Body Finder by Kim Derting
Sing Me to Sleep by Angela Morrison

This week I plan to read:

Fang by James Patterson
Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception by Maggie Stiefvater
The Magic Half by Annie Barrows
Boost by Kathy Mackel

And I will participate in the Dewey 24- Hour Read-a-Thon
this Saturday.

I decided to sign up for this one just to see if I can actually last 24-hours. I am doubtful that I can fore go sleeping at least for a short period of time. I am a very early riser (1:00 or 2:00 AM), but I do usually require at least four or five hours of rest each day.

I have several books I will be trying to read for the read-a-thon:

Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
Jump the Cracks by Stacy DeKeyser
Smile by Raina Tegemeier
The Youngest Templar: Keeper of the Grail by Michael Spradlin

The River by Mary Jane Beaufrand
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

I also have some backup just in case.

Finally, Sheila is hosting April's reading challenge check it out and sign up.

So what are your plans for the week?

I don't really read YA books, so I will look forward to checking out your reviews. And good luck on the readathon, there is no way I could participate in that - I would get into way too much trouble at home :-)

Here is my its Monday post if you get a chance

I've never made it all the way through the RAT...but I always start with high hopes. I'll be cheering again which is something I love to do and have my list of books ready to go too!!

Have a great week!

I loved your reviews of Sing Me to Sleep and The Body Finder. I enjoyed Lament.

I hope you have a great reading week!

Good luck with the Read-a-thon. I wouldn't be able to read 24 hours straight although I have stayed up into the early hours of the morning to finish a book before.

I think The Dwarves has a great title and makes me want to know more about it. Good to see you at the readathon! And thanks also for the 12 x 12 plug :)

I'm thinking about the 24 hour readathon as well, but I really don't think I can do the entire 24 hours, lol. And I forgot it was this coming weekend so I'm doing some other stuff, whoopsie!

I hope you like Dreamland, I really like Sarah Dessen :)

Response to Crystal - do what you can for hours but do come and play at the readathon :)

Those titles sound so fascinating...none of them have I heard of, but I should definitely explore them.
