Paul Vanderman could be at any normal high school where bullies, girls, and annoying teachers are just part of life. But normal doesn't apply when it comes to the school's biggest bully, Roth--a twisted and threatening thug with an evil agenda. When Paul ends up delivering a message from Roth to the leader of a gang at a nearby school, it fuels a rivalry with immediate consequences. Paul attempts to distance himself from the feud, but somehow Roth keeps finding reasons for him to stick around. Then one day Roth hands him a knife. And even though Paul is scared, he has never felt so powerful.(product information and synopsis from Powell's Books)

Like the first book I read and reviewed  (Jack Tumor) by Anthony McGowan, an English author, the title is intriguing. I also liked Jack Tumor plot and McGowan's humor. Although, I am wondering if this new title will contain much humor as the subject matter (bullying, peer pressure, death and dying) may not lend itself to being funny.  Still I didn't think having a brain tumor could be funny and McGowan managed to include a humorous side to it, so I am definitely going to read this one.

Sounds very intersting and I am wondering how he can cope with all of it. The cover is just okay, I think they could have done a better job with it. Anyway good pick.

Sounds like a good book - I'm glad humor is used, sometimes it's the only thing that can get people through.

Hi
I'm the author. The Knife That Killed Me is a pretty intense book. However, unlike my other YA stuff there really isn't much humour in it. It's basically a dark, dark thriller with an unpredictable twist. It's the best thing I've written - just don't expect any laughs!
Nice site, by the way!
