Yes, folks it is Monday once again. Time to recap last week's reads and list this week's. To participate visit J. Kaye and sign up. It's a great way to look at what other's are reading and reviewing.
Last week started out like it was going to be a very sparse reading week. After all, I had to go back to work, finish semester grades, plan lessons. By Wednesday I experienced reading withdrawal symptoms. Then Mother Nature stepped in and blessed me with not one but two snow days.
Consequently, I have good things to report today. I finished five books and reviewed four. The first one read and reviewed was The Last Exit to Normal by Michael Harmon. I loved the title of this book, which is what made me pick it up at the library. I also really enjoy the dynamic protagonist Ben, and the static but funny Miss Mae. While the book deals with some tough issues Harmon does it with a certain amount of humor that it makes the read enjoyable. The second book read and reviewed Deadly Little Lies by Laurie Halse Stolarz, however, was a disappointment. I read Stolarz's first Touch novel, and found the psychometric element quite interesting, so I was anxious to read seond one in the series. Unfortunately,I thought Camelia one of the main characters way too whiney and the plot dragged. Next I read and reviewed Skunk Girl by Sheba Karim. This one was a little slow for my tastes, but offered some interesting insights into the Muslim culture. The last one I read and reviewed was Angry Management by Chris Crutcher. Being a big fan of Crutcher I really loved this one and would strongly recommend it. Last but hardly least I finished Maze Runner last night and will be writing a review shortly. Like most people who have already read this one I liked the pace and the concept and would highly recommend it especially if you are a science fiction fan.

What I Will Be Reading Next
Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
Four Things My Geeky-Jock-of-a Best-Friend Must Do In Europe by Jane Harrington
(this one satisfies Challenge # 1 of the Take Another Chance Challenge my initials are JH like the author)
Dragonfly Pool by Eva Ibbotson
Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George
Jack Thumb by Anthony McGowan
The Fortunes of Indigo Skye by Deb Caletti
I know I will not be as fortunate as I was this week ( no snow in the forecast), so the I doubt I will accomplish five books again, but I will give it my best shot.

From one lurker to another... I really like your blog!
All the best with your goals too :)
Thanks Wendy. Lurkers unite
Sun and Moon is one of my favorites! Hope you enjoy it.
I don't recognise any of these but have a great reading week!
Wintergirls looks interesting. I've got a stack to read too: Shiver, Under the Dome, The Art of Keeping Secrets, Savage Garden, and more...
Try to keep your cheer on when you're reading Wintergirls. It is SO heavy. I'll be interested to see what you think about it. Lots of people raved - I wasn't as convinced by it.
You are clearly a reading MACHINE. This is a solid list. I like that Jane Harrington book based on the cover alone. It's a good reminder for me not to be lazy and make sure to add the cover when I talk about a book. (Blogging 101, I know, but I'm new at this. Thanks for visiting earlier!!)
