TGIF everyone!
and
Welcome to Eating YA Books.
I am especially excited about this Friday since once 3:00 PM rolls around I will be officially starting Spring Break. The last few weeks have been filled with just about everything but reading and writing, so I am super pumped to have lots of time to make a dent in my TBR pile.
It has been a very long time since I participated in Jen's Book Blogger Hop and thought this would be a great start to my week long indulgence of reading, writing, and networking. If you have never participated in a Hop check out Jen's blog Crazy for Books and join in the fun.
This Friday Jen's has posed the question...
"Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?"
I use to be a one book at a time kinda gal, until I found out how much fun audio books were. I still only physicially read one book at a time, but I almost always have an audio book going too. That way I can maximize my time, when holding a book is impossible (driving, cleaning house, walking, etc.)
I also figured I would participate in Follow My Book Blog Friday hosted by Parajunkee
Make sure you check out her feature blogger of the week Gone with the Words
This week's Parajunkee posed this question...
How did you come up with your blog name?
When I began blogging I found this quote by A. S. W. Rosenbauch...
"Very young children eat their books, literally devouring their contents. This is one of the reasons for the scarcity of first editions of Alice in Wonderland and other favorites of the nursery."
I created my first header using this quote and decided that since I am a devourer of young adult books that Eating YA Books was an appropriate name for the blog (also it seemed as if several other contenders for a name had already been taken).
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I will be spending time in the next few days doing the same.
Also while you are here make sure you enter my Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway for a chance to win up to twenty dollars worth of books from the Book Depository.
Have a great weekend everyone!
