Its Monday Here's What I'm Reading

Monday, December 20, 2010
It's Monday What Are You Reading is a wonderful weekly meme hosted by Shelia  at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, and asks the question: What are you reading?

Wow, what a busy week, for everything but my reading that is. Even with my first snow day, I was so busy with trying to get my Christmas shopping done, that reading definitely took a back seat this week. I can't wait for winter break to start, so I can get down to doing nothing but reading and writing reviews.

There are only two more day left in my 21 Day Blogoversary & Birthday Bash, and I began announcing  winners this week. If you have not entered any of the 21 giveaways yet check out my first post here for a list of books being given away and the links that will take you to the entry forms.

Books finished this week:

Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness

This was one of the most amazing series I have read this year, and I am actually sad that I am leaving all the characters behind. I have to say that the antagonist (Mayor Prentiss) in this series is by far the worst one I have encountered. I listened to the entire series and the audio version is phenomenal.

Cloaked by Alex Flinn

I love Flinn's fairy-tale retellings and was surprised that Cloaked was not what I expected. My review is to come, and I will be giving away a signed ARC of this tomorrow.

Clarity by Kim Harrington

I really really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more from Kim and the characters she introduces in this book. I was also very surprised and pleased to get an email from Kim after posting my review. Thank you Kim!

Same here! Too much holiday hectic-ness and not enough reading time! I'm really looking forward to Christmas itself, when it's just the four of us with no where to go and nothing to do but play with our new toys!!

Monsters of Men sounds like something my son might like.

Thanks for stopping by earlier. I agree that it's tough to keep up with reading at this time of year! Merry Christmas!

Oh Monsters of Men. I'm also missing Todd and Viola. They're by far one of my most favourite literary couples.

I read Beastly by Alex Flinn a while ago, but have yet to read anything else by her. I'll have to check out Cloaked.

The cover of Clarity is stunning so I'm glad to hear it was a great read as well. Patrick Ness is on my 2011 must read list!

Enjoy your winter break, hope you enjoy the festivities and have time to relax, read and review :)
