Like the falling leaves, October 2010 has blown away. Another memory of what was. There is a chill in the air whispering November's name and the things to come.
October definitely blew by faster than I could ever imagine, while it was not my best month for reading it wasn't bad either.

As I said not the most auspicious month, but 17 books read and nine reviews isn't too shabby either.
Imagine what it is going to be like for me to pick my top ten books of the year!
Goals for November:
Unfortunately, November is probably going to be a slow reading month for me. I am attending the National Council of Teachers of English Conference in Orlando in a couple of weeks, and then Thanksgiving is the next week after that, so I got a feeling my reading will suffer.
Still I am hoping to get to several books read on my ever growing TBR shelf, and manage to write at least two reviews a week.
I am also trying to figure out just what to do for my first Blogoversary (Yep, I have been blogging for a year this December) and birthday (almost a Christmas baby). So if you have any suggestions, let me know.

i am impressed with your book list! and i know it would be hard to choose faves out of all those titles. i read 16 books in october but am having a break from YA - i want to squeeze in a stash of adult fic before the year is over - which means longer books, haha.

You had a great reading month, Jan! Pretty impressive list of books you read. I have to say my favourite one from the books you read in October (based merely on reviews) is Nevermore, you really got me hooked for this one.
And yay, December will be extra festive for you! I have no idea for the blogoversary...yet, but I'm sure if I put my mind to it, I could think of something.

Gosh, I'm very impressed at the amount of books you've managed to get through for October. With deadlines and more deadlines in between, I highly doubt my count amassed to anything more than 9. Looking forward to reading to all your reviews as always!

I just started The DUFF today and am loving it! I cannot put it down. Have fun at the NCTE conference--I'd like to hear what you thought about it when you come back. I can't go this year, but maybe next year...
Wow 15 books, looks like you had a great reading month. And I see a couple books that I've read already too.
i'm envious of how many books you're able to read (nowadays i'm lucky if i finish a book in two weeks--the teaching thing is kicking me in the patootie). hope you're have a nice fall season so far, jan. leslie and i wish we can experience a true fall season.
