It's Monday Here's What I've Been Reading

Monday, November 29, 2010
It's Monday What Are You Reading is a wonderful weekly meme hosted by Shelia  at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, and asks the question: What are you reading?

I had a really great week. Only two days of school and four glorious days to read, read, read, and read. Thanksgiving was awesome because I didn't have to cook, just eat and enjoy my family.  About the only thing I didn't get accomplished were my reviews, but I am working on them.

Books Read:

Tyger Tyger by Kersten Hamilton

Loved how the mythology and real world collide in this story, and Hamilton's story telling is luscious.

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohen and David Levithan

Terrific story, with fantastic characters, and a very special romance  that had me wishing I was young again and had a red journal to write in.

 Keeper by Kathi Appelt

A truly lovely tale, filled with magical wonder.
I will be reviewing this soon and have a guest post with author Kathi Appelt too.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Definitely as good as the reviews I have read say and then some!

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins

I loved Hex Hall, but Demanglass is one of the most amazing sequels I have read in a very long time.  It left me breathless and frustrated because I have such a long wait for book 3 argh! Hawkins is awesome and I am a BIG fan.

Currently Listening to:
The Ask and The Answer: Chaos Walking #2 by Patrick Ness

I really loved The Knife of Never Letting Go and was so surprised by the ending, I just had to find out what happened next.

Currently Reading:

Nightspell by Leah Cypess

Make sure you stop by on Wednesday, Dec 21, to help me kick off my
21 Day Blogoversary and Birthday Bash

Wow, you had a great reading week & I'm so jealous of those books! I've only read Tyger Tyger from them & all the others are on my tbr/wishlist, except Keeper, so I'll be waiting for your review, because it sounds good :) Happy reading & listening ;)

Wow you had a great week. Also finished Tyger Tyger and it was amazing. The ask and the answer book I am saving for the Dystopia challenge I am participating next year. Glad you liked it.

I'm so glad you're enjoying The Ask & The Answer. I was completely taken by surprise at how awesome the Chaos Walking trilogy is, and although I'm anxious to see what happens in Monsters of Men, I'm kind of sad to see it end.

Looks like you had a good weekend of reading. Not much on my plate this week as I'm writing papers. Here's what I'm reading this week.
