Author: Cynthia Lettcih-Smith
Publisher: Candlewick
Release date: January 25, 2011
Quincie Morris, teen restaurateur and neophyte vampire,
is in the fight of her life — or undeath. Even as
she adjusts to her new appetites, she must clear her
best friend and true love, the hybrid-werewolf Kieren,
of murder charges; thwart the apocalyptic ambitions
of Bradley Sanguini, the seductive vampire-chef who
“blessed” her; and keep her dead parents’ restaurant
up and running. She hires a more homespun chef and
adds the preternaturally beautiful Zachary to her wait
staff. But with hundreds of new vampires on the rise
and Bradley off assuming the powers of Dracula Prime,
Zachary soon reveals his true nature, and his flaming
sword, and they hit the road to staunch the bloodshed
before it’s too late.Even if they save the world, will there be time left to salvage Quincie’s soul?
Although like many YA readers, I am getting a bit comatose with the over saturation of vamps and werewolves stories that abound, I do really like Cynthia's writing and Blessed sounds like an exciting read that just might have enough of a twist to make this an anticipated read.

Whoohoo!!
This does sound really good and I still have to read the previous two!
Gosh too many books, too little time! lol
Sounds interesting :)
I'm looking forward to this one too, I liked Tantalize and Eternal. =)
I've read Tantalize and of course I'm looking forward to this one!
Jan added another one to my wishing to read list, then read on and and found 2 more by the author so guess that means have 3 to look into!

Haven't heard of this one. My goodness, there's a lot going on in this story! I know what you mean about the blog awards...LOL...there were a couple that I received that I didn't get a chance to pick up because I didn't have time to fullfill the requirements!
Hi Jan! Interesting pick! I'm a new follower, check out mine and please follow my blog here.

I've had my eye on this book as well. Plus, how awesome is that cover?!
I think this looks pretty good, too! The cover is certainly eye-catching as well.
Intriguing! I will have to keep an eye for it. Thanks!
That cover is to die for. Absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and this is what I'm waiting on this week.

Ooh I didn't know this was the third book in the tantalize series! I haven't read them yet but I'm hoping I get around to it. The covers are just gorgeous!
And I LOVE your blog header! So cute!
Come check out my WoW :D
I almost chose this one for my WoW pick this week, too! :) It looks amazing, I love the cover. I never read Tantalize but I did read Eternal and really enjoyed it!
It certainly sounds like it has something different! (and a very pretty cover!) great pick!
Definitely agree about the wealth of vamp and were fiction out there right now. This one sounds unusual though - a vampire restaurant? Verrrry interesting. I love that cover too!
Nice choice! I'm also looking forward to reading Blessed. Wonder what they serve at the vampire restaurant.
This looks good and from what you and all the comments say..I need to pick up her past writings as well!
Our pick is at BookSake.
Hi,
You know I've heard of this series, I've just never taken the time to read it. Sounds really good though.
Really cool pick!

Gosh, I haven't actually read any of her books yet, but after seeing this, I'm going to be checking this author and her books out! Thanks for highlighting!
I liked Eternal so I'm pretty excited for this one too. The cover is absolutely stunning. Awesome pick!

Beautiful cover!! It sounds like there is a ton going on in the story - wow! I agree with you that right now there is an over saturation of werewolves and vampires. However, I am a sucker for good writing. I will have to check this out.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I saw an arc tour up for this one somewhere. While I would have liked to join it, I'm having money problems. But I totally agree with you that it sounds really good. :D
Great pick this week <3 (btw i'm totally jealous you got to read Nightshade already!)
I really want to read this book purely because of its cover. I think it's just fantastic. And it makes me wonder the symbolic-ness of it. Great pick!
Wow...restaunteur and vampire. That's a new combination. I agree that vampires are getting overdone, although I find them more interesting than angels. Cynthia Leitich Smith is known to be a good writer, so I'll keep this one in mind.

I want to read it for the gloriously beautiful cover alone!
Love the cover! I think I need a break from vampires at the moment, but this is one I'll pick up when it's released.
This one looks pretty intense...what a cool cover!
hi jan! i absolutely love the cover of this book. and it doesn't sound bad either. great pick :)
I agree with you on the overload of vamps and werewolves. I'm starting to get bored with it. LOL. The story sounds intriguing and I like the chef angle. I love this cover. Blessed is definitely one I've never heard of. I've haven't read any of her books, but I know she gives some great advice for writers!
