Man am I sad to say goodbye to July because it means my summer ends in a week, which will greatly cramp my reading. But all good things must go the way of the Dodo and do I ever have some great books to turn my new eighth graders onto.
On the bright side, July was a very productive month. I read a lot and reviewed most of what I read, so despite my sadness I am pleasantly pleased.

I still have a few more challenges to finish, but this one was by far the biggest, and I am so happy that I have completed it with five months more to go before the end of the year. I am thinking I won't make 200 books by December 31, but I sure will try for at least 75 more.
And now for my July recommendations:

One more week of summer!! I am just getting started as summer school ended on Friday. I hope you have a GREAT last week.
Wow. What a great list of titles! I want to read The Passage, but think that it might have to wait for Christmas break at this point. There's just too much going on for such an involved read.
Thanks for sharing your progress!

Wow, you had an impressive reading month. 23 books! Great! I definitely want to read (then see) Beastly.
Lordy Woman, you read a lot of books!
I hear you about summer being over (all except the weather!). School starts in TWO weeks, which means I have to go "volunteer" some time; never get paid enough hours to get things done in the library - but at this rate, we're lucky not to have lost all the library jobs so far in California. They keep trying to cut the positions.
Wow you got in lots of reading this month. Loved both of Lesley Livingston's books and can't wait for the next one. Hope you have another great month in August.
