You Wish Cover Recreate

Wednesday, July 28, 2010
Cindy at Princess Bookie is holding another re-create a cover contest.

While I didn't fair too well with my last one, I have to admit it was fun to do.

This time we are being ask to re-create a cover for Mandy Hubbard's book You Wish.  Here is the original cover and a summary

Kayla McHenryas sweet sixteen sucks Her dad left, her grades dropped, and her BFF is dating the boy Kaylaas secretly loved for years. Blowing out her candles, Kayla thinks: I wish my birthday wishes actually came true. Because they never freakina do. Kayla wakes the next day to a life-sized, bright pink My Little Pony outside her window. Then a year as supply of gumballs arrives. A boy named Ken with a disturbing resemblance to the doll of the same name stalks her. As the ghosts of Kaylaas wishes-past appear, they take her on a wild ride . . . but they MUST STOP. Because when she was fifteen? She wished Ben Mackenzie would kiss her. And Ben is her best friendas boyfriend.

And here is my re-create

Love it! This sounds fun–I had to do this for a design class once and it was my favorite project.

You created a very beautiful cover! To be completel honest, I think your cover is better than the original one. I'd rather buy the version with your cover.
