Teaser Tuesday/ My Name is Memory by Ann Brashare

Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Welcome to Tuesday Teaser.

Miz B at Should Be Reading sponsors Teaser Tuesdays asking that you to:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  •  Share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
While I have already finished My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares and posted my review here.  It is not a book I can actually stop thinking about so I decided to give you a teaser from the prologue. It is also a bit longer than the two sentences I normally provide...

I've never had a child, and I've never gotten old. I don't know why. I have seen beauty in countless things. I have fallen in love, and she is the one who endures. I killed her once and died for her many times and I still have nothing to show for it. I always search for her; I always remember her. I carry the hope that someday she will remember me.

Check back later this week as I will be giving away an autographed copy of My Name is Memory!

So funny, I picked that same line when I did a teaser on this book a while back. The prologue was beautifully written. The rest of the book didn't send me as much, though. Thanks for visiting my TT today!

Not my kind of book because of the jumping from past to present but have to admit from the review and the teaser both, the book might change my mind if I actually read it because think I would probably like it!!
