In My Mail Box

Sunday, June 27, 2010
IMM is a meme started by The Story Siren with some inspiration from  Pop Culture Junkie. IMM explores the weekly contents of my mailbox & books bought.

Seriously, I have a problem I can no longer ignore. I am a total bookaholic and if anyone knows of a BA  (Bookaholics Anonymous) group I can attend, email me today because I am so out of control.

This week I not only ordered books from Amazon, but made the greivous mistake and went into Books-a-Million to pick up a copy of Shiver and of course I bought a few other books too. (I can't just buy one can you?)

So here is what I purchased this week:

The Passage by Justin Cronin
Girl in Translation by Kwok
The Agency by Y. S. Lee
Princess of Glass by Jessica Day George
Sea by Heidi R. Kling
Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
Beastly by Alex Flinn
The Sisters Grimm by Michael Buckley
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Alison Dare Little Miss Adventures by J. Torres and J. Bone
Alison Dare The Heart of the Maiden by J. Torres and J. Bone
Graceling by Kristin Cashore (I had to have a copy even though I have listen to this on audio at least three times already)

I also received:

Watermark by Vanitha Sankaran (Thank you Staci)
i so don't do mysteries by Barrie Summy (from publisher)
i so don't do spooky by Barrie Summy (from publisher)
Don't Know Where Don't Know When by Annete Laing (from author)

And thanks to a very persuasive clerk at  Books-a-Million I now have a membership card and this lovely tote that I  used to carry all my purchases out of their store.

So anyone want to join me at an BA meeting?

You really had an excellent week! I will definitely join you at a BA meeting. Although, I have been doing pretty good the last couple of months, but that probably means a huge spending spree is looming on the horizon ;)
Enjoy all your new books!

Yikes! That's a lot of books! It is impossible to buy just one book though lol
Enjoy your books.

All in one week?? lol Looking forward to your reviews. Happy Reading.

You got a wonderful bunch of books. I think we will have to form an online chapter of BA. Except I'm not at all sure I want to conquer my addiction. I don't have a problem with needing a bigger house to store my books. Happy reading!

That is quite a haul. I've never even heard of Books-A-Million, but I've now checked out their website. I can't believe how inexpensive some of their books are! I have a feeling that I'm going to need some BA help as well!

I definitely need to join a Bookaholics Anonymous group! I already put 9 books on hold at the library for next week!

Looks like you have some great reads. I recently bought Shiver, too.

Oh yeah Super, I forgot about the five I put on hold too, which is actually why I went to the store to buy Shiver cause I was # 45 on the reserve list. We do need help.

Great books, so many that I want to read. Sign me up for the BA meetings when you find them. Last night at the bookstore I made the comment "don't let me stop and browse...don't let me stop and browse". Out of control!!!

Shiver is an amazing book and I cannot wait until Linger comes out in a few weeks.

I've also really been wanting to read Sea.

YAY Millionaire's Club! I just renewed my card Thursday and they give you one each time you renew (I now have 2)

Haha - you did get a little out of control! Great-looking books, though. I don't believe I've read any of them, so I hope you enjoy them all!

Haha, you may have gotten a little out of control with book buying but at least they all look like fantastic books. I hope you enjoy them all! Happy reading! :)

Haha! I'm afraid to join BA, because then I'll just find something else to get addicted to! That's a scary thought, huh??

What a list! I've been trying to not to buy books, but still manage to swap for a few!

Awesome books! Lol, I actually CAN buy just one because I usually only buy ones I think I'll absolutely LOVE. Though you've succumbed to Shiver and Sea, mwahaha - hope you enjoy! :D

If you find a BA, please let me know too. I could do with all that help as well, LOL!

I got The Passage in the mail two weeks back and am really eager to read it. Hopefully by July-mid, I should start it!

Also, good books there! I'm sure I would have lost my control too.
