Waiting On Wednesday/Twelveth Grade Bleeds

Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases.

After the very successful completion of the Fourth Annual Area Wide Book Battle, where Heather Brewer appeared signing books and spreading bling despite her laryngitis, I decided that this week's WoW had to be the release of her next Chronicles of Vladimir Tod book coming  out this September. I am very excited about this book and I am wondering if the cover, which is the first to show Vlad's face has any significance.

It all comes down to this.

Vlad’s running out of time.  The Elysian Council has given him weeks to live, and that’s if the Slayer Society doesn’t kill him – along with all the citizens of Bathory – first.  Then there’s the issue of Vlad’s father, who may or may not still be alive after all these years, and oh yeah, that tiny little detail in the Pravus prophecy about Vlad enslaving Vampire kind and the human race.  So much for college applications.

In this epic finale to Heather Brewer’s heart-stopping Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, dark secrets will be revealed, old friends will become enemies, and warm blood will run cold.  Just be careful it isn’t yours.

Don't forget to enter my Thank You Giveaway, which ends May 6.

I haven't read any of these yet but this sounds like a really good book. I will have to look for book 1 at the library.

I was at a vampire panel that Auntie Heather was at a few weeks ago, and she is a funny lady. Haven't read this series yet but I think I might someday. I like the idea of reading from the male vamp's perspective. Nice pick!

My students love this series- it was a big hit at the book fair this week. I haven't picked it up yet, but hopefully this summer. Thanks for visiting my WoW! BTW, I entered your Thank You Giveaway. Thanks for hosting such an awesome giveaway. I had some internet problems when I was filling in the Googledoc so if I, by accident, sent my name more than once, please ignore it. Sorry!!
