Tuesday Teaser/The Youngest Templar Keeper of the Grail

Tuesday, May 25, 2010
Welcome to Tuesday Teaser.

Miz B at Should Be Reading sponsors Teaser Tuesdays asking that you to:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  •  Share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
The book I am currently reading is The Youngest Templar Keeper of the Grail by Michael P. Spradlin and another Missouri Association of School Librarians nominee for 2010/2011. This one is up for the Truman Award. Books nominated in this category cover grades sixth though eight. Consequently, it is another book being considered for next year's Area Wide book Battle and will be review for my new weekly post In The Middle Monday.

Here is my teaser:

Lad, though he is an arrogant fool, he's a dangerous man and never to be trusted. Never. I order you to stay out of his way. Do not approach Sir Hugh ever, under any circumstances but especially alone.

Arrogant fools make some of the worst dangerous men. They don't understand the cost of life. Great teaser.

Excellent teaser! I don't usually read much YA fiction, but this sounds like one I'd love.
