It's Monday Here's What I Am Reading

Monday, May 31, 2010

It's Monday time to take a look at what I accomplished last week and check out what all you other fabulous book bloggers read and reviewed too. This wonderful weekly meme is hosted by Shelia over at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.

Last week was my final week of school, and it was about as hectic as they come. I had to pack up all my books this year because I was switching rooms. That's a total of six bookcases and that didn't even include the textbooks. Needless to say exhaustion hit me ever day around three, and I got very little reading done. But that is all behind me now and this week I will definitely make up for lost time.

I did manage to finish reading and reviewing for my In the Middle Monday Reviews
The Youngest Templar Keeper of the Grail Book One by Michael P. Spradlin

and I reread and reviewed

The Turning Book One: What Curiosity Kills by Helen Ellis.

I am also about halfway through an audio version of Sea Glass by Maria V. Snyder,

and I finished my review of Morpheus Road: The Light by D.J. MacHale, a book that will be on my top ten read list this year.

This week I plan on reading:

The Heist Society by Ally Carter (I actually started this last night and am loving it).
My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares

and whatever book strikes my fancy after that.

So how was your week?

I really want to see what you think of Heist Society. I always look at it at the shops but end up turning away. I think it may the cover. Also, did u get a new layout? If so I really love it! Very Steampunk.

Morpheus Road: The Light sounds quite interesting, so I'll keep an eye out for that one, thanks :)

My week was pretty good thanks, mainly because it's a 3 day weekend here in the UK! :)

The concept of The Turning sounds rather interesting, I'd be quite interested in having a look at that in the future.
Your review of The youngest Templar also made me want to read that as I love Catherine Jinks' Pagan Chronicles which are set at the time of the Crusades as well.
Hope you have a good reading week!

Heist Society was a fun book-perfect for summer reading! My Name is Memory sounds really good. I look forward to hearing what you think of it. I liked Sea Glass although I liked the first book more.

I hope you enjoy your first week of summer vacation!

I think I may try Heist Society after I finish the I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You series by Carter. I also picked up one of her adult books that I'd like to give a try.

Moving 6 bookcases had to have been a ton of work. Good luck with your move!

I read your review of The Turning. It sounds like it could be a good book. The synopsis sounds interesting at least.
