Spectrum:

  • used to classify something, or suggest that it be classified, in terms of its position on a scale between two extreme or opposite points.
  • wide range
Sunday Spectrum is a new  meme I created to spotlight various blogs and or posts that I've read and enjoyed. These blogs and posts might represent a  wide range of interesting or different insights,  reviews, or discussion  that I believe are worth checking out. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Sunday Spectrum.

I am very excited today because I am being spotlighted by Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century. Since I began blogging Kristen's blog is one I have read and admired. She is extremely knowledge about blogging,  her reviews are always interesting and well-written and her layout is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Kristen, I appreciate you spotlighting me and all the great things you accomplish on your blog.

Another blog that I would like to talk about today is Guys Lit Wire. As a teacher who requires my students to read independently, I have always found my guys are usually pretty reluctant readers. I frequently go to this blog to see what is recommended. What you will find are in depth quality reviews of books geared towards guys ( as the name suggests).  I only wish I could write as well.

Since I have been on spring break all week, I not only got quite a lot of reading done, but I was able to spend more time  with weekly memes and have come across some very cool  blogs that I really enjoyed.

One of those is Along for the Ride. Sara is a sixteen year old who loves to read ( a lot) and writes some terrific reviews. I enjoy stopping by and always am glad I did.

Staying with theme of  great teen blogs is another new blog I recently found Book Love: Teen. I love the layout, which is clean and colorful without being gaudy and the the reviews are well-written and interesting.

Finally, another educator like me who recently began blogging Christina at Confessions of a Book Addict. Christina's reviews are insightful and concise and reading them is a pleasure. I also really like her header.

Well, that about wraps up this week's Sunday Spectrum. One final thought. I recently had the honor of interviewing one of my favorite authors, Sharon Draper. This is one heck of a phenomenal women, and I hope you will take the time not only to read her interview but to check out her recently released book Out of My Mind, which is beautifully written and a story everyone should read.

Have a great week everyone.

Just saw you featured on Bookworming in the 21st century and had to come by and see your blog. I am a high school teacher librarian in CA so have signed up to follow your blog.

Let me know if you're in CA as I am doing a fun reading event for CA schools next month that your school might want to join.
